The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) has awarded TRAIL Alumnus Victor Knoop (Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering) a VENI subsidy for his research on 'Space to Change Lane'.

About Space to Change Lane:
On the motorway, people opt for a particular speed and lane. This study combines these choices into a single action. The resulting model can determine in advance which effect measures such as speed limits or a ban on overtaking have on traffic.

Congratulations to Victor!

On June 15, 2012, the TRAIL PhD Council organises a TRAIL PhD Event in Utrecht.

The aim of the Event is to connect and inspire TRAIL PhDs. The Event starts with a couple of inspiring presentations about research at NS that fits within the TRAIL domain. This is followed by a workshop where PhD students can meet other TRAIL PhDs. This part of the day is sponsored by NS.
