Introduction on TRAIL research
The TRAIL Research program consists of three internally coherent programs, each dealing with a particular field of application and consisting of focused sub programs. According to the inherent multidisciplinary applied-science nature of the transporation field, the research in each subprogram is multidisciplinary by nature and contributes to the systems view of transportation. On average ten to fifteen PhD candidates from various disciplinary backgrounds cooperate in joint projects under the supervision of university professors from various faculties.
